Ransomware doesn’t just encrypt your live systems — good attackers go after your backups first, so you have nothing to restore from. Here is a short self-check. If you can answer yes to each, you are in a strong position to recover clean.
Can an attacker delete your backups?
They shouldn’t be able to. Your recovery points should be stored so they can’t be changed, and protected from deletion. With AirGap, backups are protected from malicious or accidental deletion — so even if an attacker reaches them, the recovery points can still be recovered.
Do you know your backups actually work?
A backup only counts if it restores. AutoVerify test-boots the latest server backup every night and checks it for corruption, and our team follows up when something fails — so you find out before an incident, not during one.
Can you roll back to before the attack?
Because servers can be backed up as often as every 15 minutes, you can roll back to a recent clean point rather than losing days of work.
Can you keep working while you clean up?
If a server or the whole office is compromised, Virtual Office runs your systems as virtual machines in our cloud, so your team keeps working while the originals are rebuilt.
Is Microsoft 365 covered too?
A separate Microsoft 365 backup keeps your own copy, restorable after data is deleted, overwritten or encrypted.
Is someone watching?
Our team monitors backup status and alerts and follows up on failures. If you can’t answer yes to all of the above today, talk to our team and we’ll close the gaps.
